Boards a little rounded and rubbed on corners and spine ends, else neat, clean and tight throughout. Two leaves offset in manufacturing, resulting in tear across bottom corner. In its original worn and chapped dust jacket, showing some shelf wear (dust jacket now protected in an archival quality Mylar wrapper, fitted without the use tape or adhesives). A correspondence slip, from Harold Nicolson loosely laid in, signed by Nicolson. Also loosely laid is a Daily Mail newspaper clipping carrying an article by Nicolson giving his views on the peace negotiations in Paris at the end of the Second World War.
