First edition, first printing. 246pp, with monochrome plate frontispiece and one further monochrome plate. In red cloth covered boards with black lettering and decorations. 12mo. Boards are gently rounded at spine ends, very slightly rubbed on corners, some light spotting on text block edges. Elegant presentation plate on front free endpaper. Some light spotting on prelims. In its original dust jacket, rubbed and chapped at edges, small tear at base of spine, some mild soiling. Dust jacket now protected in an archival-quality Mylar wrapper, fitted without the use of tape or adhesives. Hard to find title, especially with its dust jacket. Stated first edition in volume.
