352pp, with colour illustrated endpapers, many black and white illustrations and occasional colour plates. Dark blue cloth-covered boards with gilt titles on front board and spine and a pastedown tipped-in colour illustration on front board, card slipcase. 4to. Corners and spine ends rubbed; cloth worn though at bottom corners. Text block edges foxing. Light foxing on prelims; gutter stretching at title and last page. Frontispiece has been coloured in and some of the puzzles have been filled in. Internally neat and clean, baring occasional foxing. Card slipcase battered, stained, small area of loss. With many children's stories, games, puzzles, jokes, riddles and hobbies.
