Foreword dated 1942. 126pp, frontispiece and a further sixteen black and white photographic plates. Brown cloth-covered boards; black titles on front and spine. 12mo. Sun-faded spine; rubbed front joint. Lightly bumped, rubbed and frayed spine ends. Light bumping, rubbing and wear at board edges and corners; light fraying at corners. Dusty top text block edge, remaining edges tanned. Signature binding. Endpapers lightly foxed and tanned. Signed and inscribed by author on front free endpaper: 'With compliments & best wishes from the author A Causebrook. 21/7/1943'. Hinges cracked at rear endpapers; gutters stretched at page 212. One photographic plate and pages 113 to 114 are detached from binding; pages 115 to 126 partially detached. Foxing throughout; intensity varies greatly. Previous owner's name on rear pastedown.
