First edition. 512pp. Green cloth-covered boards, gilt titles on spine. 8vo. Sun-faded top 2cm of boards. Light mottling to covers. Lightly bumped spine ends. Lightly rounded and frayed corners. Minor water damage to spine. Dusty top text block edge, remaining edges just starting to tan. Signature binding. Endpapers starting to tan; Previous owner's name and inscription on pastedown and front free endpaper. Minimal pen markings on some margins. Ink transfer on rear pastedown. Otherwise, internally neat, clean, bright and tight. Dust jacket has moderate shelf wear; 5cm closed tear at spine end; 3cm closed tears at head; 5cm loss at top joint of front flap; 12cm closed tear at mid rear flap, 3cm closed tear at top. Chipping to edges, mirrors book damage, not price clipped.
