A reprint of William Cooper's 1858 text. 48pp stapled booklet in illustrated card covers, with numerous black and white illustrations. 8vo. Very gentle edge wear and shelf wear to card covers, else neat, clean, bright and tight throughout. Sussex was a centre of smuggling for more than six centuries. William Cooper's account, reprinted here, is detailed account of smuggling in the area and, since he lived in the area, much local information is added. Strikingly, vibrant illustrations on covers by Paul Hardy.
