1st edition, first impression. viii, 200pp, with occasional black and white illustrations in text. In red cloth-covered boards with gilt titles on spine. 8vo. Boards gently rubbed and rounded at corners and spine ends. Text block edges lightly spotted. Internally neat, clean, bright and tight barring a previous owner's name on front free endpaper. In its original dust jacket, toned and lightly soiled, with short, closed tear from upper edge. Heygate, whose father was an Eton Housemaster, relates her experiences of Eton School, as an excluded young girl, in the early years of the 20th century.
