Green faux leather-covered boards, gilt titles to spine, gilt publisher's logo to front. 8vo. Text block edges lightly foxed. Endpapers lightly tanned and foxed. Internally a very neat, clean, bright and tight volume. Dust jacket sun-faded, chipping along edges, tear to front resulting in loss of top corner. An account of the author's 'Wanderings' in South Africa, his success in obtaining an extensive collection of its production in Natural History, among which were several new undescribed animals and his adventures in the Interior.
