First edition. 272pp. Green cloth-covered boards, brown titles on spine. 8vo. Rubbed spine ends, cloth wearing. Front corners turned in, mottling. Slightly dusty top text block edge, starting to fox, light soiling to fore-edge. Internally neat, clean, bright. Dust jacket has loss due to silverfish (volume not affected), bottom fifth of spine missing, tear across most of front, chipping to edges. Laid-in reprint of the Book-of-the-Month Club review (also silverfish affected).
