A new translation. Volume X only. Handsomely bound in buckram cloth with gilt lettering and decorations, bordered with black rules, blind embossed motif on rear board. Deep green endpapers. 480pp, plus publisher's catalogue bound in at rear. 8vo. Boards are a little rubbed and rounded at corners, rounded and slight fraying at spine ends, with a couple of mild marks on panels. Text block edges mildly toned. A little spotting on endpapers and prelims but otherwise internally neat, clean and tight. A handsome, robust volume. Volume X contains some of St Augustine's lectures and tracts on the Gospel according to St John.
