Boards a little rubbed and rounded at corners and spine ends, with some mild occasional bubbling. Faint, occasional spotting on text block edges. There is a stain (likely from another piece of paper having been laid in) affecting the copyright page and its opposite, else internally neat, clean, bright and tight. A very nice copy of this uncommon work chronicling travels and encounters in Iran at time when the country was largely inaccessible to foreigners, with brief overviews of Persian history and contemporary Iranian culture.
