Complete in two volumes. xxvi, 634pp, [2]; xvi, 534pp. With photogravure frontispieces with tissue-guards, six original sketches in photogravure, 18 colour plates, 260 further illustrations from photographs taken by members of the expedition, and a large foldout map of the routes taken by the expedition at the rear of each volumes. Title pages in black and red. In green cloth boards with deep green titles on spine. Speckled edges. Large 8vo. A large and heavy set which will require an additional charge for overseas delivery. Boards a little rubbed and rounded at corners and spine ends, some mild marks, with small breach in cloth at base of spine of volume two and some warping of spine cloth on volume one. Volume one has a strained gutter against the half title, else both volumes neat, clean, bright and tight throughout barring a little spotting on prelims. Volume one contains the journals of Captain Scott; Volume Two is the reports of the journeys and scientific work undertaken by DR E A Wilson and the surviving members of the expedition.
