Undated (circa1930s). Reissue of a volume first published in the 1880s. viii, 254pp. In pale green cloth-covered boards with deep green titles. 8vo. Boards a little rubbed and rounded on corners and spine ends, mildly marked. Prize presentation plate, dated 1943, on the front paste down. Some spotting on endpapers else internally neat, clean, bright and tight. A reflection of a London past, with emphasis on the contribution Grindling Gibbons, the great Dutch sculptor and wood carver, has made to the houses and buildings of London, including Hampton Court Palace, Windsor Castle and St Paul's�Cathedral.
