248pp; four colour illustrative plates. Red cloth-covered boards; colour tipped-in illustration on front, gilt titles on front and spine. 4to. Sun-faded spine. Rubbed edges, corners and spine ends, cloth worn through in places. Text block edges tanned. hinges cracked and stretched. Endpapers starting to fox and tanning. Signs of use throughout; a handful of pages have small closed tears; one of the colour plates is has 15cm closed tear from bottom at spine. Pages ageing. Some gutters stretched, volume quite loose. Still very presentable.
