1st edition, first printing. 96pp. In red cloth-covered boards with titles on spine. 12mo. Boards very slightly rounded at spine ends, faint and occasional spotting on first and last few leaves, else neat, clean, bright and tight throughout. In its original dust jacket, a little chipping at edges, sunned around spine, lightly soiled. The action of this dramatic narrative poem is laid in the Fontainebleau district of France during the German occupation and concerns a French family torn between their fear of the invader and their love for their country.
