[1848] 36pp. In paper wrappers, with possibly later spine reinforcement. 12mo. Wrappers toned, chipped at edges, spine reinforcement chipped away at spine ends, corners rolled. Previous owner's name on front cover, some pencil writing on rear cover. Internally a little toning and minor wear at page edges, last few pages have top corner folded in. A rare survival, one of Planche's many plays popular in the mid-19th century, this version 'correctly printed from the prompter's copy, with the cast of characters, costume, scenic arrangements etc' following the play's performance at the Theatre Royal, Haymarket in London in September 1848.
