Deckled page edges. Coloured endpapers. 8vo. . Boards a little rubbed and rounded on corners and spine ends, a few mild marks. Light spotting on text block edges. Bookplate of Lord Battersea (Cyril Flower, 1st Baron Battersea, a liberal politician, MP for Luton then Brecon, and a patron of the arts) on the front paste down endpaper. Endpapers a little spotted, hinges partially cracked. Tissue-guard is browned, affecting colouring of facing pages, a little faint and occasional spotting. A nice, solid and robust copy of this mammoth and authoritative work on Amphibia and Reptiles. Volume VIII in the respected Cambridge Natural History series.
