The Thoresby Society was founded in 1889 for antiquarian, historical and genealogical objects in connection with Leeds and district. The three volumes in Vol XXXIII - Part I contains pages 1 - 208 and includes articles entitled Yorkshire Abbeys and the Wool Trade, Wills of the Parishes of Rothwell, Saxton etc, A Sixteenth Century rental of Tempal Newsam, John Harrison and his Times etc. Part II contains pages 209-360 and includes articles entitled Extracts from the Leeds Intelligencer 1768, William Boyne, Numismatist, The Manorial System and Copyhold Tenure etc; Part III contains pages 361-506 including the index to all three volumes and includes articles entitled Monuments in St. John's Churchyard Leeds, The Tithes of Farnley, Paganini in Leeds; There is some occasional underlining/annotation to the text in coloured pencil of all three volumes. Sun fading to covers, volume III's front cover detached.
