Undated (circa 1930s). 180pp, fold-out illustration. Purple cloth-covered boards; gilt titles on front and spine; text block edges gilt. 12mo. Sun-faded spine, lightly rubbed spine ends. Boards faded. Free endpapers starting to fox and tan. Internally neat, clean, bright and tight; barring occasional foxing. These recollections of Mr Pickford were written whilst he was preparing for the 75th anniversary celebrations of the Football Association. He was a member of the FA Council for 50 years and played centre-forward for Bournemouth Rovers for ten years. Fold-out sketch entitled Ten Little Referees.
