Reprint. 160pp, with occasional black and white illustrations. In green cloth-covered boards with gilt titles front and spine. 8vo. Boards very gently rubbed and rounded at corners and spine ends, a little faded and marked on spine. Internally neat, clean, bright and tight. In its original worn dust jacket, chapped on edges with minor loss at spine head and rear upper edge, marked and shelf worn. By what seemed a miracle, Ida Gandy found in 1930 a practice for her doctor husband in a little village in south-west Shropshire. It was there home for fifteen happy years. Drawing on full diaries, she writes now of her home and its surroundings with deep affection and of the people, exploring, boating etc in south Shropshire.
