First edition, first printing. 200pp plus central section of monochrome plate illustrations. In brown cloth covered boards with deep brown titles on spine. 8vo. Cloth is a little rubbed and rounded at corners and spine ends, a tad of mottled marks on spine. Internally neat, clean, bright and tight. In its original dust jacket, rubbed and bumped at edges with a couple of short tears along upper edge, perhaps a tad faded. Corfield, concerned with the rights of Princes in an independent India was a civil servant and adviser to several Indian Viceroys in the first half of the 20th century. Hard to find title.
