Special commemorative edition published in 1984 to mark the significance of the year in the title. Fully bound in deep red bonded leather with gilt decorations and gilt titles on spine. Top edge gilt. Red satin ribbon marker bound in. Burgundy endpapers. Presented in a matching slipcase. 8vo. The volume is in near fine condition, with a little fraying to the end of the satin marker and a hint of toning to fore-edge. The slipcase is in very good condition, gently rubbed at corners and spine ends, a tad faded, with a small area of white marks on verso. A really lovely edition of this classic novel; would make a super gift.
