iv, 194pp, black and white fold-out map frontispiece. Olive-green cloth-covered boards; gilt titles on spine. Numerous black and white drawings and many illustrative chapter head and tailpieces. Untrimmed top text block edge. 16mo. Lightly rubbed spine ends. Corners moderately rubbed, cloth fraying. Text block edges tanned. Endpapers lightly tanned and starting to fox. Previous owner's inscription on front free endpaper. Internally pages are lightly age-toned with occasional pencil marks in page margins, slight stain on page iv and page 1, otherwise neat, clean, bright and tight. Chapter I starts with the Desolations of Judea, as Prophesised - State of Palestine; final Chapter XXII Nehemiah's further efforts for good - Malachi, the last of the Prophets.
