First edition. 232pp. Quarter-bound in green cloth over beige cloth-covered boards, gilt titles and red rose illustration on front, gilt titles on spine; illustrated world map on endpapers; numerous colour illustrations, photographs and two tone diagrams throughout. 4to. Light rubbing to extremities. Previous owner's name on front free endpaper, else internally a neat, clean, bright and tight volume. Dust jacket has heavy shelf wear, in two parts with most of the spine missing, chipping to edges, not price clipped. A beautifully illustrated book that looks at the exotic origins of gardens and orchards.
