First edition. 184pp, numerous black and white photographic plates. Red cloth-covered boards, black titles on front and spine. 8vo. Sun-faded and stained spine, backstrip detached and fraying at rear joint; spine ends worn cloth frayed, front board sun-faded at top edge; corners rubbed, cloth wearing through; some scuffs and wear to boards. Top text block edge dusty, remaining edges tanned and foxed. Front endpapers just starting to fox, pen marks on front free endpaper; rear endpapers heavily foxed and tanned. Blank pages at rear foxed and tanned, first page tanned, some staining to title page, 'spare' photographic plate at page 127/8 loosely laid-in, foxing at page edges with varying intensity, otherwise internally neat and clean.
