[1928]. 288pp. In blue cloth-covered boards with titles on spine. 12mo. Cloth soiled around edges, moderately rubbed and rounded at spine ends and corners. Sunned over spine, with reader's crease in cloth. Volume just a tad loose. Text block edges dust darkened. Previous owner's name on front free endpaper. A hint of toning on endpapers, with the occasional smudge mark on pages. Soutar's 1928 novel which became the basis for the 1930 pre-code Hollywood Film of the same name, starring James Kirkwood Sr and Merna Kennedy. Blinded in an airplane crash in France, Jeff swears vengeance on John Tullock, the profiteering plane manufacturer who produces faulty planes under government contracts. Very hard to find title.
