Undated but likely circa 1945. Second edition, revised and enlarged. 128pp, with one monochrome plate illustration. Slim 32mo. In blue cloth-covered boards with gilt titles and blind embossed decorations. Text block edges slightly toned. Gift inscription on front free endpaper, reads 'To Berice Hindle, With best wishes on her confirmation in St Peter' Mancroft on Passion Sunday, 1949, from John Waddington'. [John Waddington was vicar of St Peter Mancroft, Norwich, from 1945-1958, later appointed Grand Chaplain of the Royal Masonic Order.] Two tiny nicks on edges of title page, else internally neat and clean. A lovely vintage volume, easily hand held. Would make a special confirmation gift (again).
