First edition, first printing. Unpaginated but circa 150pp, with Ungerer's sketches on every page, some coloured and some monochrome. In pale green cloth-covered boards with gilt titles on spine. Landscape 12mo. Ex lending library book with usual marking (notice on front free endpaper, stamp on copyright page, remnants of lending pocket on rear free endpaper, call number close to spine on boards). Cloth is a little rubbed and discoloured at edges. Text block edges darkened. A few mild signs of fingering internally. In its original worn and torn dust jacket, discoloured and rubbed and soiled at edges.
