First edition. xvi, 294pp. In pale blue cloth-covered boards with gilt titles on faux spine label. 8vo. Boards very gently rounded and faded on corners and spine ends. Obliteration mark on front paste down, previous owner's name on front free endpaper, discreet library stamp on title page and rear endpaper. Pages a tad creamy. This book has two main themes - the importance of Kent's position as a Home County on its agriculture, industry and trade, and the special characteristics of Kentish society in the 17th century.
