Covers slightly faded and soiled, gently rubbed at edges. Hint of toning in page margins. There's an obituary of the author from the Shrewsbury Chronicle pasted onto the front free endpaper and a protruding Order of Service from her funeral taped inside the front cover. Tells the stories of two men from Newfoundland who served in the First World War - one with the Royal Highlanders of Canada and the other with the Royal Newfoundland Regiment, both earning the Victoria Cross for their efforts.
