First edition, first impression. 512pp. In blue cloth boards with gilt lettering on spine. 8vo. Boards lightly rounded on corners and spine ends, cloth perhaps a tad dulled. Text block edges a little toned. Some faint and occasional spotting on endpapers, else internally neat, clean, bright and tight. In its original dust jacket, a little rubbed and bumped at edges, chapped along upper edge with minor loss around the head of spine, some mild but visible shelf wear on verso.
