xxxii, 416pp, a few black and white illustrated plates. Blue cloth-covered boards, gilt titles on spine, text block edges speckled red. 8vo. In later Library Binding. Lightly soiled boards. Spine sun-faded, shelf number sticker at heel. Corners lightly rubbed. Text block edges moderately tanned. Front pastedown lightly stained, ex-lender's bookplate with withdrawn stamp, front free endpaper has an lender's bar code sticker, small pen note and lending sheet. Frontispiece has water stain bottom corner. Title page has an ex-lender's blind-embossed and rubber stamps. Copyright page has 2 lender's stamps with some small pen notes. Prelims occasionally lightly stained. Final page has an ex-lender's stamp and is stuck at the top corner to the rear free endpaper. Tanning around page margins.
