Undated but circa 1960. A translation into English from the original Russian, first published in 1952. Linen spine over light card covers. 456pp, with diagrams and formulae in text. 4to. Covers a little shelf worn and perhaps a tad faded. Very minor corner curling, else internally neat, clean, bright and tight. A product of the Cold War era, an American translation of an important work related to atomic energy, addressing the stability of solutions of differential equitations and the trajectories of dynamical systems. Interesting not just for the science and research but as a physical expression of Cold War politics.
