6th edition. 240pp, plus numerous monochrome plate photographic illustrations. In Lincoln green cloth-covered boards with gilt titles on spine. 8vo. Cloth a little rubbed and rounded at corners and spine tips, titles on spine a little faded. Previous owner's name, dated 1959, on front free endpapers, else internally neat and clean. In its original illustrated dust jacket, rubbed and chipped at edges with some very minor loss, scuff on spine and perhaps a tad faded. Dust jacket now protected in a Brodart-style sleeve. Mike Hawthorn's autobiography up to the end of 1957. Lovely vintage, evocative copy recalling the heyday of gritty motor racing.
