1st edition, 2nd impression. 260pp plus 47 colour photographs, 40 monochrome and 74 maps and diagrams. In green buckram cloth boards with gilt titles on spine. 8vo. Gently rubbed at corners and spine tips, a little faded over spine. Text block edges darkened, some occasional spotting on endpapers only, else internally neat, clean, bright and tight. In its original worn dust jacket, rubbed and a little chipped on edges with minor loss at spine ends and a little browned and faded. Dust jacket now protected in a Brodart-style sleeve, fitted without the use of tape or adhesives.
