Two novels in one volume. First edition, first impression. x, 274pp. Blue cloth boards with gilt titles on spine. 8vo. Cloth a little brushed at spine ends, spine a little faded. Text block edges slightly toned. Internally neat, clean, bright and tight. In its original all-over pictorial dust jacket, designed by Fratini, with some rubs and short edge tears. Dust jacket now protected in a Brodart-style sleeve, fitted without the use of tape or adhesives. Two linked novels, flying adventures which Shute wrote in the 1920s when working in the aircraft industry.
