1st thus. xxx, 360pp. In green cloth-covered boards with gilt lettering on spine. Top edge gilt, all other page edges deckled. Title page printed in red and black. 8vo. Very gently rubbed at corners and spine ends, a few mild marks on cloth. Deckled edges heavily spotted, and some faint and occasional foxing to pages, else internally neat, clean, bright and tight. A later edition of the memoirs of historian Edward Gibbon, first published in the late 18th century.
