Complete in two volumes. English translation of a Russian monograph. 250pp, with charts and figures in text; 251-532pp, with charts and figures in text. Both volumes uniformly bound in thin card covers with canvas over spine. Tall 4to. Covers are toned and brittle, stained, with minor short tears at edges, and canvas peeling away in places. Ex library with usual markings inside front cover and on title and copyright pages and stamps on covers, else internally neat, clean, bright and tight. Both volumes have a bookplate inside the front cover, 'In Memory of Stephen Trefor Rye, 1946-1992, Geologist and Musician'. A significant monograph, here translated into English, describing many new species. Hard to find title.
