Complete in two volumes, containing all three parts of the novel. xx, 322pp; viii, 323-364pp. Uniformly bound in full blue limp leather with gilt titles and decorations on spine. Top edge gilt. Satin ribbon markers bound in. 12mo. Boards a little worn, gently rounded on corners; the first volume has a mild mark near the spine head, the second volume has a heavy chip on the lower leading corner with a small tear in leather. Text block edges moderately toned. Hint of toning on endpapers else internally neat, clean, bright and tight. Volume one contains the first two parts of the novel; volume two contains the third and final part entitled The Famous Tragedy of the Queen of Cornwall. A nice vintage pair with the patina of use.
