142pp, profusely illustrated in full colours. In laminated strong card covers, colour illustration and titles on front panel. Landscape 8vo. Very slight rounded at spine based and a couple of minor marks on covers. Gift inscription on front free endpaper, else internally neat, clean, bright and tight. Laurence Hotham Howie (1876-1963) was an Australian sculptor and painter. An official war artist during the first world war, he made a series of sketches in France which were later used in designing the Australian War Memorial in Canberra. This volume, written by his daughter, has an essay on his life and works and many high quality reproductions of his works. A hard to find title.
