First edition, first printing. 128pp, plus black and white plate illustrations and line drawings in text. In brown cloth-covered boards with gilt titles on the front panel and spine. 8vo. Boards very slightly rounded at corners and spine ends. Some mild toning on endpapers and a little spotting on text block edges and first and last few pages else internally neat, clean and tight. In its original matte dust jacket, lightly chapped along upper edge, perhaps a tad faded and gently rubbed along lower edge, spine sunned. A standard work on the art and business of duck-keeping written by the foremost duck raiser in the country at the time, amounting to an intensely practical guide to duck husbandry. Now a hard to find title but an invaluable guide to raising ducks the old fashioned way.
