Reprint. xvi, 308pp. In a bespoke leather and goatskin binding, stitched in leather over edges. 12mo. Upper text block edge is a little toned, other edges a tad spotted. Front hinge strained, else neat, clean, bright and tight throughout. An unusual vernacular binding which appears to be later. Hudson was an Anglo-Argentine naturalist, author and ornithologist. Here, in his autobiography first written in 1918, he tells of a childhood on the Argentine pampas, with the freedom to explore the natural world around as well as his later life.
