First edition. 64pp with numerous colour plate illustrations. Volume is neat, clean, bright and tight, in a worn and torn dust jacket. Bear's Heart was born into the Cheyanne tribe in 1851, growing up in a time when the plains were still plentiful with Buffalo. He drew these pictures in November 1876 while a prisoner at Fort Marion.
