Sun-faded spine, heavily rubbed spine ends with cloth torn at front hinge. Top text block edge dust damaged, remaining edges tanning. Endpapers starting to fox and tan; bookplate on front free endpaper, previous owner's details on first blank page. Gutters cracked and strained, volume quite loose. Lacks illustrated frontispiece and additional title page seen in some copies of this edition. Otherwise internally neat, clean, bright and tight.
