342pp. Blue cloth-covered boards, gilt titles on deep blue printed spine label. 12mo. Sun-faded spine, lightly rubbed spine ends. Free endpapers starting to tan; previous owner's name on front free endpaper. Otherwise internally neat, clean, bright and tight. Dust jacket tanning, has 5cm closed tear at spine heel, significant shelf wear, minor loss, chipping to edges, mirrors book damage, not price clipped, interior foxing. Hilton's Random Harvest was first published in 1941. As with his previous novels, such as Horizon and Goodbye, Mr Chips, it was hugely popular and successfully adapted into a film of the same name in 1942.
