Account of the dispute between the Rev Robert Whiston, the schoolmaster, and the Dean and Chapter of Rochester Cathedral in the mid 19th century. Whiston is said to have been the inspiration between Anthony Trollope's The Warden, and also inspirational to Charles Dickens, who had strong connections with Rochester.
