First edition, fourth impression. viii, [4], 178pp, with numerous cartoons and sketches in text.  In orange cloth-covered boards with cartoon and  black lettering front and spine.  4to.  Boards a little rubbed and soiled on edges, rounded and faded at extreme spine ends.  Text block edges a little dull.  Endpapers tanned and rear endpapers marked, else internally neat, clean, bright and tight.

A history of the limerick, and its associations with the Irish town of Limerick, with over 350 examples and delightful illustrations.
