First edition, first impression. 215pp, with colour plate frontispiece and line drawings in text. In denim blue cloth-covered boards with white letterings front and spine. 12mo. Cloth very slightly rubbed and rounded at corners and spine ends. Upper text block edge tanned. Internally neat, clean, bright and tight. In its original dust jacket, a little bumped at edges, mildly sunned over spine and minor shelf wear visible on verso.
Dust wrapper now protected in an archival-quality Mylar sleeve fitted without the use of tape or adhesives.
Frank Richards was one of the many pen names of Charles Hamilton (1876-1961), one of the most popular and prolific authors of boy's school stories and long-running series stories featuring recurring characters.
