Theosophy (literally, great wisdom) is a believe system founded in the late 19th century in the US by the Russian mystic and spiritualist Helena Blavatsky, who later relocated to India as a better fit for her beliefs. This little volume was the first published by the Society to concentrate solely on gathering together all existing knowledge of the Theosphical Plane.
