Reprint. Approx 30pp stapled booklet, in light card, illustrated covers with yapped edges. Several line drawings in text, all by John Piper. 8vo. Covers a little worn and toned around edges, rubbed at edges, previous owner's name inked at top. Previous owner's name inked inside front cover. Endpapers a little dull and lightly marked else internally neat, clean and tight.
A collection of verse, first broadcast on the BBC and latterly published by the SPCK. Betjamen hesitated to call it poetry and records that "to compensate for the short-comings of the verse, I have prevailed upon my friend Mr John Piper, to provide illustrations." Those illustrations are, as might be expected, a real delight.
